What are your opening hours?
We open 11.30am - 11pm Sunday to Thursday and 11.30am - 1am Friday and Saturday. We serve food from 12pm - 9pm every day.
Where are the toilets?
The toilets are upstairs on the first floor of our building. The disabled and baby changing facilities are on the ground floor by the stairs.
How do I get outside?
The access to the garden is through the terrace doors, to the right of the bar.
Do you have a DJ?
We have a DJ on from 8pm on Friday and Saturday nights.
Do you take bookings?
We only take bookings for groups of 8+ people. For numbers less than that, we offer a walk-in service only. We do have additional seating upstairs, and a large covered area in the garden.
How do I book
Can I pre-order my food?
If you have made a table booking, we do offer the option to pre-order and pay for your meal.

Are you child friendly?
Absolutely! People under the age of 18 are welcome in the pub with a responsible adult, until 9pm every day.
Do you have a children’s menu?
We do have a children’s food menu, see the food menu page for details. We also have children’s cups, cutlery and crayons to keep your little ones entertained!
Do you have baby changing and facilities for very young children?
We have a baby changing unit in our disabled toilet, and we also have high chairs in the bar for use.
Do you allow dogs?
We allow dogs of all sizes inside and outside at The Riverside, but please keep them on a lead. We even have a dedicated doggy station outside with water and treats for your furry friends.
Can I have a bar tab?
We do not allow bar tabs unless they are for a party or booking, and must be pre-arranged and prepaid for.
Can I buy a bottle of Sheffield Dry Gin?
We offer our gin for sale over the bar, flavours depend on what is in stock. You can also buy from our online shop here
What size gin can I buy from the venue, and how much is it?
In-house we sell the Sheffield Dry Gin in 50cl (£27) and 70cl (£36) bottles, and the flavours (£38) in the 70cl bottles.
What time do you serve food?
We serve food every day from 12pm until 9pm
How do I order food?
Please take note of your table number if outside, and then order from the bar.
Do you have additional seating?
We have additional seating upstairs (provided there isn’t a party booked in the Angel’s Share) and in the garden.
Do you do roast dinners?
We do roast dinners every Sunday, served from 11am until they run out!
Can we eat outside / upstairs?
You can eat anywhere inside or outside the venue provided you have a table.
Do I need a table number?
If eating outside, please take note of your table number before coming to the bar. For inside and upstairs we don’t need a table number from you.

Do you cater for my dietary requirements?
We can cater for a number of dietary requirements easily including but not limited to; vegetarian / vegan / gluten free / lactose free / allergies. Please call ahead to ensure we can cater for you, or in the venue ask to speak to a manager.

Do you have allergen information for your food menu?
We do not have a particular dress code, however, we always recommend dressing to impress! During the summer months, we ask that you keep your clothes on in our beer garden. Failure to do this may result in you being asked to leave the premises. On occasion, a dress code may be applicable during our peak trading hours if local events dictate.
Do I need to bring ID with me?
Yes, we operate a Challenge 25 scheme. Please always bring an acceptable form of ID with you, if you look under 25 you will be asked at the door by our security, and then inside by the bar staff when you purchase a drink. Failure to produce a valid form of ID will mean you will not be able to be in the venue after 9pm, or be admitted after this time.
What forms of ID do you accept?
We accept the following forms of ID: Passport / Driving License (full and provisional) / a proof of age card from the national Proof of Age Standards Scheme such as the PASS card. We do not accept student cards as forms of ID, or international ID cards.
What are the neon signs about?
Paying homage to Chris Bracey, the late ‘Neon Man’ - who was a neon sign designer and collector in London - we have started our very own small collection of signs at The Riverside. Chris ran a workshop called ‘Gods Own Junkyard’ in London, which still showcases his work as a neon sign designer and collector.
Building on this, we have a variety of signs that we think are relevant to the Kelham area, whether that be ‘Alright Sausage’ or the controversial ‘Sex Shop Downstairs’ sign that has set a lot of tongues wagging! We want to celebrate everything that Kelham was and is today, and like to keep things a bit fun and tongue-in-cheek!

Do you have disability access?
We have disabled access throughout the ground floor of our building, including the terrace and garden.
Do you have parking / a car park?
We do not have a car park or designated parking. There is street parking on Mowbray Street, and a loading bay directly outside the venue that is available to be used after 3pm Monday - Friday, and all day Saturday and Sunday.
LOST AND FOUND
What do I do if I have lost something at The Riverside?
Give the bar a call on 0114 272 4640 and speak to a manager, or message us on Facebook. We keep all lost property for two weeks before it is donated or thrown away.
Do you recycle?
We recycle all glass, paper and cardboard. We also actively try to minimise our plastic waste by not giving out straws unless asked. Our straws are also biodegradable.
